Made from wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) absinthe was banned throughout almost the whole of Europe between 1900 and 1930 because of the psychoactive neurotoxin thujone. TABU revives the absinthe legend, so that this unique beverage is now enjoying a renaissance and today is a 'must have' for every bar, at home and in gastronomy. Since 2006 TABU ABSINTH products are also available in Australia and New Zealand.
Virtually no other spirit has captured human imagination like absinth. Perceptions are first and foremost positive, yet also unjustly negative. It would be a crying shame not to enjoy the unique taste of a genuine TABU ABSINTH simply because of a misconception.
