Description
In 1895, along with the high rise buildings, came the need for building lobby directories. Directories were typically leased, with service contracts in place to provide replacement namestrips. We still service directory locations dating back from the late 1890's.
Tablet & Ticket had the first patents for strip type building directories. Early units were found in the Manadnock, Reliance, Tribune Tower, Wrigley, Empire State buildings and thousands of others. By 1928 over 20,000 directories were in place. The first illuminated directory also came from Tablet & Ticket in 1940.
Today, Tablet & Ticket is still family owned, committed to remaining the leader for custom directories, display cases, kiosks and other products. All units are built to order. - Building & Lobby Directories: We offer an extremely large variety of building and lobby directories, including: illuminated and non-illuminated, stainless steel, brass, aluminum, hardwood, standard models and sizes as well as custom models and sizes. Feel free to contact us with your requirements, we will be glad to assist you.
- School & Trophy Display Cases: Our 900DC Series display cases are all built to order, allowing custom sizes to meet all of your outdoor and indoor needs. School and trophy display cases available with standard duty unframed doors as well as oversized, heavy-duty framed doors, either sliding or hinged. Units are available with incandescent or fluorescent lighting fixtures, surface or recessed mounted. We also offer wire suspended or typical bracket supported glass shelves. A variety of profiles help to fine tune the design of your next display case. Cases ship fully assembled for proper and quick installation.
- Kiosks: We have constructed a wide range of custom Information Kiosks and Pylons in many shapes and sizes. Starting with a ridged outer frame, we are able to customize these free-standing directories to fit your designs, ranging from post mount to pedestal mount, and from illuminated map inserts to cork backgrounds . All our custom units are made to order, giving you freedom in design.
- Exterior Building Signs: Our Exterior Building Signs are great as a street indicators for businesses, schools, and churches. Built to stand up to all types of weather, it is able to be post-mounted, wall-mounted, and monument mounted. Since these Signs are job specific all our units are made to order, giving you freedom in design.
- Exterior Changeable Message Boards & Reader Boards: Our outdoor changeable message boards are great at getting out the message for schools, churches, park districts and the like. These units are built to last, with heavy -duty frames,weather sealed and vented. Available as illuminated and non-illuminated units, single or double faced, allows this model to adapt to most applications. Units can include radius or gable tops, lattice details, custom logos as well as routed, screened or vinyl header panels.
- Enclosed Bulletin Poster Boards: We offer a variety of enclosed outdoor and indoor bulletin boards surfaces which can be fit into any setting. Our enclosed bulletin board choices include natural cork, vinyl-faced cork, felt-faced cork, and heavy duty color impregnated cork with a durable burlap back. We offer a variety of colors to chose from, and an assortment of ways to use them. Bulletin boards are available with a wood frame, and as open face and freestanding units. Our 100 series comes with an open face, while our 500, 800,850, and 900 series offer a wide category of enclosed bulletin boards.
- Changeable Letter Boards: Our Changeable letter board is a precision cut grooved board on 1/4" centers, which accepts our quick change Helvetica letters. We offer these boards in a vinyl or felt covering in a wide variety of colors. Changeable letter boards are available with a wood frame, and as open-face and freestanding units. Our 100 series comes with an open face, while our 500, 800,850, and 900 series offer a wide category of enclosed changeable letter boards.
- Menu Displays Cabinets for Restaurants: Our Restaurant Menu Displays Cabinets allow you to present your menus to interested customers in a professional approach. Allowing you the best way to capture ones attention, we offer illuminated or non-illuminated units and make available the choice of presenting in a wall mounting or freestanding manner. These cabinets come with a Velcro background offered in a variety of colors to which you can fasten your menus too. If you need to show your restaurant menu display to the public this is a great way to get it out there.
- Directory Name Strips: We service our directories, and many others with 3 to 5 day turnaround on replacment namestrip orders. With well over 100 years of providing namestrips nationwide, we know the importance of quick and accurate delivery. Order forms are available as Exel, PDF, Word files or plain fax forms.
