Description
The Turkish American Association for Cultural Exchange (TAACE) was founded in 1991 in Chicago. TAACE is a non-profit organization and an active member of the Turkish-American community in the Chicago area. TAACE is also a member of the Assembly of Turkish American Associations (www.ataa.org).
The Association's sole objective is to promote Turkish culture and heritage in the United States by organizing, participating, and supporting cultural events and activities in an objective and efficient manner. Almost exclusively, all TAACE activities involve sharing and promoting the Turkish traditional and cultural values across the Chicagoland. As the members of the TAACE and the Turkish-American community in the Chicago area, we are pleased to bring you a mist of the Turkish culture including its people, art, music, folklore, food and many others. We encourage all of you and all of our friends to travel to Turkey and enjoy the great people, hospitality, architecture, culture, history and natural wonders of this great nation.
We value and support the unity of the Turkish-American Community across the board on issues and matters that are on the Turkish agenda. We recognize that the issues are now global, and they are not just the issues of Turkey and the Turkish people alone. We realize that whether we like it or not, they affect our families, friends, our daily life and jobs, here in the United States. Therefore, as the ambassadors of Turkey and the Turkish people, we are here to represent you a cross-section from the Turkish culture and heritage to better inform you about the Turkish nation and the Turkish people. We are very pleased to share our culture and heritage with friends like you and we welcome your continued participation and interest in the Turkish-American community and the Turkish interests at large, here in Chicago and throughout the world.
