- I spent the first 18 years of my life in Hawaii. After studying at the University of Hawaii, my passion for photography—and a scholarship—led me to the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, N.Y. In addition to a rigorous photography curriculum I studied print and web design, and developed both a graphic design and photography portfolio.
