A wife and mother of two who lives in Southern California, Susan served on the Board of Directors of the San Diego Mental Health Association and was a consultant for the San Diego City School District's Gifted and Talented Education program. She has designed community education programs for Scripps and Sharp Memorial Hospitals which emphasize self-empowerment for adults and at-risk teens, and she generously donates much of her time to charitable causes.

Commissioned to write columns for Cosmetic Surgery Times as well as an article for The Chicago Tribune in their Women's News section, and for Plastic Surgery Times, Susan has been featured on many San Diego News segments including a November sweeps special for Fox Channel 6 evening news, KUSI Channel 51 morning news with Laura Buxton, Channel 8 with Bree Walker, Channel 10 and Channel 7/39 in breaking news stories concerning patient advocacy, a "Staying Healthy" special with Carol Le Beau, plus being quoted as an expert in the Sunday edition of The Miami Herald Business Section, as well as radio talk shows. San Diego Magazine has also done an extensive feature on Susan as has the La Jolla Light.
