- The American Literacy Corporation (ALC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The purpose of the ALC is to design and implement supplemental literacy programs that will promote the importance of learning to elementary school students grades K-5. Since the inception of the SuperReader Program in January 2001, SuperReader has performed for over 70,000 children.
