Description
Skiathos is a small Greek island, part of the Sporades group in the Aegean Sea. It is close to the large island of Evia and the Pelion mainland. It is unspoilt with the most beautiful beaches, wonderful harbour-side restaurants and many things to see and do. Quite simply it is unique, a piece of paradise you will want to return to again and again.
The whitewashed houses of the town with red tiled roofs are built into two natural hillsides overlooking the harbour and are contrasted by the deep blue of the sea and sky.
During the day it is busy with the hustle and bustle of commerce, fishing boats and ferries. At night the whole area is transformed into a continuous array of street restaurants and cafe's. People gather there to meet friends, have a drink, perhaps a meal and discuss the day and plan what to do next.
