From the Director
It is a privilege and honor to welcome you to The Summit. As a Medical Fitness Center our mission is to provide a medically and scientifically sound environment where people of all ages and backgrounds can safely achieve their health and fitness goals. The Medical Fitness Industry was spawned a number of years ago when several visionary health care systems recognized that true “health care” went well beyond the standard “sick care” that was being provided. Acting on the cutting edge of this vision, the NWHC board opened The Summit in 1996 providing the Flathead Valley with an exceptional facility and highly trained and certified staff. On October 8, 2002 The Summit received the Distinguished Service award for facilities 50,000 square feet and larger from the Medical Fitness Association. As the nation's top facility, The Summit will continue to provide a complete compendium of preventive and rehabilitative services overseen by a medical advisory committee. The following pages detail a variety of classes, programs and services which are available to Summit members and the community at large. I congratulate you for actively taking charge of your health and fitness and encourage you to advocate a physically active lifestyle among those who have not grasped the message regarding the importance of daily physical activity. Best wishes as you continue to move along your lifepath to health and remember, the winning formula is “consistency over time”.
Ages 12 and under have full access to Open Swim times (6 & under must be accompanied by an Adult) and may use the Gym, Racquetball courts, Track, and the Studios IF directly supervised by an Adult.
