Sumajin aim at creating an environment that pushes the limit of design ideas and constraints. With more and more projects blurring the boundaries between product and the software environment, it is necessary to ultilise an approach that considers both aspects. The product's interaction becomes very critical as part of the design consideration.
Marcus Ting, an Industrial designer / founder of sumajin pte ltd, has over 10 years of designing experience. After being stationed in Australia for 14 years, he left Australia and started his other designing career in Hong Kong, Malaysia and is currently living in Singapore.
His work has won several awards and was featured in international magazines such as Blue Print, AXIS and ID magazine. He was awarded the winner of Design Distinction for his product "Smartwrap" (International Design magazine 2002).
