The business started life 25 years ago nd has started its second quarter-century with expansion beyond East Anglia coupled with a massive rise in business.
One of the largest privately-owned independent power generation and pump rental businesses in the country, Stuart Group is one of only a handful of dealers for the world's largest diesel generator-set manufacturer, FG Wilson - a Caterpillar-owned company.
From its beginnings as a one-man band 25 years ago, the group's CV now includes work in Hong Kong, the Middle East, Barbados, Africa and Rio de Janeiro.
We have opened branches and depots in South Yorkshire, Kent, Co Durham and Northamptonshire, and this year will open our first base in London, as well as expanding its Norfolk headquarters.
Employing nearly 70 people, we have branched out from focusing solely on pumps and generators and today it has a number of trading divisions - Stuart Power, Stuart Well Services, Stuart Pumps, GEK Generators and Brownfield Asset Developments.
We have recently worked on the Olympic project and have been shortlisted for more work in the run-up to 2012.
