Title

Journal of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases

Description

National Stroke Association (NSA) was formed in 1984 to fill a void as the only national non-profit health care organization focusing 100 percent of its resources and attention on stroke. In its brief history, NSA has become a leading national resource on stroke and the driving force behind efforts to improve stroke prevention, treatment and rehabilitation. Based in Englewood, Colorado, NSA sustains itself through individual donations, memberships and grants.

Japan Stroke Society (JStS) is the only stroke-related professional society in Japan. The JStS currently has more than 5,000 members, including neurologists, internists, neurosurgeons, rehabilitation specialists and others. Because stroke is the number one cause of death in Japan, the study of stroke is of great interest to physicians, researchers, and co-medicals.

The Journal of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases publishes original papers on basic and clinical science related to the fields of stroke and cerebrovascular diseases. The Journal also features review articles, controversies, methods and technical notes, selected case reports and other original articles of special nature. Its editorial mission is to focus on prevention and repair of cerebrovascular disease. Clinical papers emphasize medical and surgical aspects of stroke, clinical trials and design, epidemiology, stroke care delivery systems and outcomes, imaging sciences and rehabilitation of stroke. The Journal will be of special interest to specialists involved in caring for patients with cerebrovascular disease, including neurologists, neurosurgeons and cardiologists.
