Title
Stonefield Estate Villa Resort, St. Lucia
Description
Around 350 AD, Arawak Indians looked up at the Pitons and were so moved by what they saw that they carved images of them in the rocks.
One became the mother, the other the father, and a hill in between their child. It was the first vacation picture taken on the grounds.
Since then, much has changed. In the years that followed, as St. Lucia was colonized, Stonefield became a prosperous cocoa plantation. Some of the buildings on the grounds, including Cocoa Villa, are from this period.
