It is one of the few industries that is truly worldwide in geographical scope and in the nature of the business. Globalizations of trade and economies have led to a situation where multinationals have taken on global sourcing and marketing strategies. Ports and shipping companies have an important function in enabling smooth and efficient transportation and connecting manufacturers and consumers around the world. Port authorities, shipping companies, inspection bodies, insurance companies, shipbuilders, ship-repair companies, marine equipment manufacturers and suppliers are in need of managers that master a specific mix of industry knowledge, skills and approach. In answer to fulfil the need for maritime professionals with these specific qualities, STC-Group established the Netherlands Maritime University (STC-NMU) in 2007. If you consider yourself to be a maritime professional, Netherlands Maritime University offers you a dedicated management program with the Master program ‘Shipping and Transport’. NMU provides this program at two locations in the world: at its main location in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and at its branch school in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Once finished our Master program, you will be a professional, excellently equipped to fulfil a higher management position within the shipping and transport industry. NMU offers a full-time and part-time Master program.
