Description

Stas Gayshan and his family emigrated from Uzbekistan to escape ethnic and religious persecution. The promise of freedom and opportunity that America has offered since her beginning was a beacon of hope for the Gayshan family. His grandparents and parents have spent their lives helping others, through their work as scientists, doctors, engineers and entrepreneurs. Following his family's example, Stas toiled hard in his new home and came to realize the importance of public service. He graduated from Wayland High School and later graduated from Boston College, where he was elected to three terms in the Senate and served as Chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means.

While at Wayland High School, Stas participated in a program run by ELNA (Education and Leadership for a Nonviolent Age). It was here that Stas and politics became forever intertwined. At a debate between Democrats and Republicans, he found himself in agreement with the ideals put forth by the Democrats. Since that inspirational debate, Stas has had numerous political experiences. He worked on John Kerry's Senate re-election campaign in 2002 as well as with his current Presidential bid. Stas was also a member of Al Gore's campaign team in 2000. Locally, Stas worked for the campaign of Boston City Counselor Felix Arroyo and for Judy Deutsch in her campaign for State Representative.

Stas Gayshan knows what it takes to succeed and he wants to bring that perseverance, dedication and work ethic to the State House!
