Since December 1999, the creators of this site have sought to provide players, gamemasters and Star Wars fans in general a fun and interesting forum to share and discuss the game. The game is always evolving and fans are always creating new and interesting material. We encourage you to explore the community and contribute your own pieces of imagination and creativity. We promise to help make your Star Wars gaming what it should always be - a great way to share and create with others.
Starwars-rpg.net was conceived by Chris Boudreaux, Ryan "Weej" Matheny, and Tim "Nealos" Salam. Around January of 1999, Chris and Tim discussed the fact that their sites complemented each other very well - Tim's had a lot of written material and Chris' had tons of graphics and starship material. They both quickly concluded the one thing they both lacked in terms of expertise were game statistics. The natural choice at the time was Ryan, and his collosal web site "Dark Lords Of the Sith" (DLOS).
In June of 1999, Tim and Chris approached Ryan and suggested the three of them combine their sites in some fashion. Ryan readily agreed. The reasoning was that once combined, these sites would provide an all-inclusive experience for players and gamemasters of Star Wars RPG, essentially bringing together a wide range of services and material to support the audience.
