SpeechStudio Inc. was formed in 1998 by an experienced software development team with the goal of creating the leading provider of software development tools for the speech recognition application market. It has produced a series of powerful products, starting with the first version of its flagship Suite in 2000.
SpeechStudio Inc. does not build speech engines or natural language understanding systems; SpeechStudio Suite treats speech engines the same way a compiler treats a computer chip. SpeechStudio Inc. customers are software application developers who are free to choose the best speech engine for their environment and, at the same time, insulate their applications from the complexities and low-level details of speech engines.
Without SpeechStudio Suite, software programmers can expect to expend more than a year building a crude level of VUI. With SpeechStudio, a much more effective and complete interface can be built within a week. Instead of labor intensive ad hoc testing, the SpeechStudio derived interface can be tested automatically. Instead of facing an unknown multitude of different end user configurations, the SpeechStudio derived interface deploys a single version across many end user configurations.
