spanishlanguagehelp.com

Description

spanishlanguagehelp.com was conceptualized and created in the fall of 2003. The creators of this site recognized a hole in the web, one that needed filling and that they could fill, that of free practice exercises for Spanish students at all levels. It is a labor of love devoid of commercial interest. spanishlanguagehelp.com is run by two friends: one a Spanish professor living in New Orleans, and the other a computer programmer living in Provo, Utah.

John M. Williams III, better known as "Don Mac" to his students, has been studying Spanish non-stop since 1988. He holds a B.A. (1999) and an M.A. (2003) in Spanish from Brigham Young University and is currently 4 semesters into his Ph.D. studies at Tulane University. Beginning in January of 2000, he has taught at Brigham Young University, Tulane University, and Kennesaw State University (near Atlanta) for a total of 17 sections taught. His classes have ranged through first and second year Spanish as well as accelerated sections of both years for native speakers of Portuguese, French, or Italian. He lived non-stop in Costa Rica from April 1993 ‘til February 1995, and thanks to the graciousness and help of his beloved ticos, all of the studying finally made sense. He does not claim to be an expert in foreign language instruction; this site is more of personal hobby and a benefit to his students.

Tim Boisvert is a software engineer for Novell, Inc. (see "totem pole, low man"), and is currently pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science from Utah Valley State College in Orem, Utah. He spent two years living in and loving Barcelona, Spain, and has spent years since then dreaming of being back there. His hobbies include amateur film-making, Mediterranean cooking, and general tomfoolery.
