Africa is a continent of vast contrasts, great mystique, untold beauty, immense hardship...and it still takes you three months by off-road vehicle from top to bottom! Here, time is often still measured by the position of the sun and a meeting arranged for the day after full moon!

It has been called the Cradle of Humankind, the Dark Continent and many other names, both derogatory and complimentary, but one thing is as clear as daylight; it holds a huge air of mystique for those who have not yet had the opportunity to experience it. And those fortunate enough to have been here, regularly feel the yearning to return, to experience more of the wild, feel the ruggedness, beauty of the scenery again, conquer the touch of danger on a walk in the wild, traverse through the lush tropical forests or gazing over the vast open planes teeming with the very life of Africa – its wild animals.

Buffalo, zebra, giraffe and antelope are scattered across the vastness… all grazing with passion, often lifting a head up restlessly to scan for possible danger. The lion rests lazily under an umbrella thorn tree nearby… watching the spectacle with little interest. Having had its meal – a kudu - last night after a hard chase and the subsequent irritation of hyenas and jackal trying to share the catch.
