- Sound Trax Technologies, was founded in 1979 to fill a growing need in a new industry, Personal Computers. Information Technology Consultants were scarce and most of the consultants that did exist were primarily educated and trained on mainframe systems. Small Personal Computers was not a big business, therefore, it was not something any of the major technology companies were interested in. Consultants and Programmers had to be flown in from New York or California, this got very expensive and raised the cost of computing beyond the means of most people and businesses. Sound Trax Technologies was formed to fill this gap in both consulting and custom programming (as most of the applications of this era were).
