Soul Shine is a monthly online music magazine based in Toronto, Canada, for music lovers located both locally and internationally. There is a serious deficiency in successfully covering indie talent along side international commercial artists. The foundation of Soul Shine is largely based on dealing with public opinion over publicity, and supporting the international and greater Toronto area's indie music scene with an identity all their own.
While browsing our daily news and exclusive features and reviews, you can interact on the Soul Shine message forum, play our unique free games and enter amazing music contests; all while browsing our gig guide to find out what concerts are on any day of the week. Soul Shine is the only music magazine in Canada that allows you to create an interactive character to suit your musical taste.
We also invite indie artists to join our monthly Top 10 on Soul Shine's Internet Radio where their music can be heard without the annoyance of frequent commercial breaks. The band/artist's biography is also available for people to find out more about them usually with a direct link to the artist's CD supplier which gives them the option of purchasing the CD on their own time, rather than out of a van after one of their late night gigs. Soul Shine's gig guide also helps spread the word about what indie music is going on locally, rather than trying to read a poster on a street corner just as the light turns green. Soul Shine was made as an outlet for Canadian musicians and music lovers; you keep loving the music we'll keep making it happen.
