Description
Sommerland is primarily an information and art website dedicated wholly to the dragon, the most well-known and grand creature of the fantastical animal realm. Sommerland was named after the beautiful continent on which dragons live (from the role-playing game Nepta), and the name itself means a nice place of rest.
Founded in late 2000, Sommerland was originally an information website for the role-playing group Dragon Caverns, which has since been re-named Nepta. From that time, the website has undergone significant changes; it has expanded to become a fully-fledged dragon website and, during mid- 2003, Sommerland underwent a merger with Donna's Art Gallery (a fantasy and wildlife art website) which was already involved with Sommerland prior to the merger.
As we are both interested in dragons, it seemed natural to create a website together. It is our aim to provide the user- whatever their level of interest in dragons may be- with information on these wondrous beasts. We aim to heavily research our work to make it as trustworthy as possible.
