About SNH
Our basic philosophy is simple: we must care for and sustain our natural heritage if we want it to sustain us.
Our task is to secure the conservation and enhancement of Scotland's unique and precious natural heritage - the wildlife, the habitats and the landscapes which have evolved in Scotland through the long partnership between people and nature.
reflect both our intention to address all aspects of our wide remit and our wish to deliver it nationally and locally in an innovative manner and (as far as possible) integrating the constituent parts. These achievements and plans are summarised in our Annual Review 2004 publication. We also produce Annual Environmental Reports.
