Description
The Santa Maria Valley Railway Historical Museum (SMVRHM), founded as a non-profit, educational museum, is dedicated to the preservation of the railroad heritage of California, the Central Coast, and the Santa Maria Valley.
The Museum has acquired the historic Caboose Number 180, which now proudly sits on leased tracks at Jones and McClelland streets in the Santa Maria Valley Railroad (SMVRR) yard. After repair and preservation it will become the museum's first exhibit.
The Board of Directors meets the first Thursday of the month starting at 6:00pm in the Hancock Room of the Historic Santa Maria Inn. The room changes occasionally, so check at the front desk. SMVRHM members and their guests are welcome, but only Directors may vote on issues. [Meetings Schedule]
