Description
Don's experience as a restaurateur spans several decades and include managing many of the finest eating establishments in the Annapolis, MD area. His pride and joy, the Sly Horse Tavern, reflects his appreciation for good food and hospitality.
The Sly Horse Tavern's look is 18th century, a replica of Colonial Williamsburg's Raleigh Tavern, but its cuisine is a unique blend of the traditional and the cosmopolitan. What Don describes as "modern American," cuisine - that is to say neither "new American" nor just "basic American."
(n.b. The origins of the Sly Horse name, Don says, is a secret and will remains so. So, don't bother asking Don about it, he'll either refuse to answer or he'll tell you a whopper. The current, best guess is that it refers to a horse race won not by the speed but by the guile of the winning horse.)
