- SimTrainer was created to give residents of the Dyaton area a great place to gather, learn, practice, and enjoy the shooting sports. Jeff, founder and President of SimTrainer, is a police officer with a large suburban Dayton Police Department. Jeff served ten years as a Training Officer during his twenty-two years of police experience. Jeff has a Bachelor of Science degree in the Administration of Justice from Southern Illinois University and completed thirty-six hours of graduate coursework towards a Master of Science degree in Community College Teaching. Jeff has attended training at the Tactical Defense Institute, Midwest Institute for Self Defense Shooting, and has attended numerous seminars as a member of the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors (IALEFI). He has served as Academy Commander for five basic police academies, and he has instructed hundreds of hours in ten basic police academies at the local community college over the past ten years. Jeff was a SWAT Team operator for twelve years. He has delivered presentations at three national conferences for the American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers, and he presented once at the annual conference for the National Association of Field Training Officers. He also served four years on the board of directors for the Ohio Tactical Officers Association.
