The following people have been named to the Dean's List for Spring Semester, 2006. These students earned a semester grade point average of 3.5 or better with no grade lower than C and no incomplete grades. Please convey congratulations to these students for jobs well done.
Sheldon Jackson College invites the community to celebrate the Class of 2006 during its Commencement ceremony May 12 at 10 a.m. in the Hames Physical Education Center. This year’s Commencement speaker is Dr. James Balsiger.
Dr. Balsiger is the Regional Administrator for the Alaska Region of NOAA Fisheries in Juneau, a position he has held since May 2000. Dr. Balsiger’s prior position was Regional Science and Research Director at the Alaska Fisheries Science Center in Seattle, where he also served as Deputy Director of the Center from 1991 through 1995 and Program Leader for the Status of Stocks Task within the Center’s Resource Ecology and Fisheries Management Division from 1977 to 1991.
