Shalon Chemical Industries was established in 1967 to meet demands of both the military and civil defense authorities in Israel for N.B.C. (Nuclear-Biological-Chemical) protective systems. Since that time, Shalon has gained international repute as a leading designer and manufacturer of products in this field.
Coupling an innovative R & D program with state of the art technology, the company produces a wide range of respiratory and other products of the highest reliability and quality. To maintain leadership in the field Shalon has built up a solid infrastructure based on its expertise and "core competence" that enable it to adopt new technologies and respond rapidly to changing market requirements.
As the sole supplier for the Israeli Military and Civil Defense Authorities, Shalon has manufactured over ten million units of personal respiratory protective products, and has an annual production capacity of almost one million masks and filter canisters.
