Our doll furniture is made with foam board, which is commonly used in schools for crafts and presentations. It’s also used by interior design students and in offices for presentations. Essentially, foam board is a thin sheet of polystyrene pressed between two sheets of poster board. It is sturdy, lightweight and is a safe, non-toxic product.
Our bedposts, as well as the knick-knacks and lamp posts in our designs, are made from basswood on a wood lathe, right here at Shadaly. Both hot glue and carpenter’s glue are used in the assembly process of all of our doll furniture and dollhouse accessories.
