Located in beautiful downtown San Francisco within view of Alcatraz Island, SFWEST.COM supplies public and private chatsites to the Web. It also furnishes internet connection for the San Francisco Bay Area from Santa Rosa to San Jose. SFWEST.COM receives about 5.3 million accesses per month and was founded in August 1997.
All the chatsites (presently 45) at SFWEST.COM are independently owned and operated with unique themes. There are teen chats, roleplaying chats, private chats, over 40 chat, over 50 chat, over 60 chat, and even the Boston Tea Party chat room where current issues of social and political import are analyzed, agonized over, and criticized. The chats at sfwest are not java chats -- most of which are horribly designed -- but are instead based on the style of the original "Webchat" script that has been popular on the net for many years.
