- Sexual Offenders List.Org was created due to the lack of easy to use offender registries. While the state's sites are very comprehensive, There is simply no way for you to see how close a registered offender lives to you, other than looking thru every offender and either mentally trying to picture where their location is in proximity to your house, or using yahoo or google maps to plug addresses in to get the distances away. What we did was write a variety of programs to make use of publically available data, to plot the locations of registered offenders using the same geocoding technologies that are used in personal gps units to military smart weapons and everything in between. By displaying the information on an easy to read map, you can easily see where and how many registered offenders are in your neighborhood and educate your children accordingly.
