I am a Marine wife, like many of you. My husband, Tommy, is a Ssgt with 12 years in the Corps. We are slowly working toward our 20. Tommy’s Mos is 0321…which of course makes me a Reconwife! Life as a Recon wife is hard but very rewarding. Through my husband the Marine Corps has become a very important part of my life. Over the years I have developed a love for the Corps, which is why I decided to start this site. This is my way of giving back to the Corps. The idea of this site was born during the heat of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I saw so many young wives, and significant others scared, and confused. I decided that a site was needed for all of us to come to learn about the Corps, and have a support network of people who have been through the trials of Corps life. We can all learn from each others experiences.
Tommy and I have a 12 year old son named Damian, who I am sure many of you will get to know. He is quite the character, and a gung ho future Devil Dog! We also have a 10 year old daughter, Ashlee, who lives with her mother in New Hampshire. The Corps, our children, and Damian’s dog, “Pogie” are our lives. We are your typical Marine family through and through.
Our website has been up and running for nearly a year and a half now. We are proud of where it has taken us. Our Semper Fi Women family started out as a select few and now has grown to the number of 260 plus. With the growth we brought aboard two very special volunteer moderators.
