Description
SCUPS was incorporated in the State of California in 1978 for the purpose of satisfying the educational needs of working adults who could not attend tradition educational institutions due to lack of accessibility or work and family obligations. This realization led to the commitment of offering degree-granting distance education designed to meet the needs of working adults. From initial offerings at the associate degree level, the University expanded to Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees delivered entirely through distance learning methodologies.
