ScreenStyle is based in New York City and one of the top sellers of screenwriting and filmmaking software such as Final Draft in the world. We are also screenwriters, filmmakers, and playwrights. We share a loft space with the fun folks from MovieMaker magazine. Once a month or so, we teach filmmaking through The Weekend Film School.
Almost ten years ago, I walked out of a movie (long since forgotten) and said what thousands of us say every year. "I could write a better movie than that."
The next day I picked up a local newspaper and saw an article for an upcoming screenwriting seminar. This seminar was taught by Michael Hauge who wrote the great book Writing Screenplays that Sell and helped us later produce The Hero's 2 Journeys. I went to his seminar (still the best one I've attended) and was hooked on screenwriting.
