Scala Leathergoods is a family owned and operated business, priding itself in producing quality leather accessories for a variety of markets. Established in 1956, Scala specialises in its own brand of leather bags and accessories, with national distribution to retailers such as David Jones, Myer and Grace Bros. With an initial staff of five producing and retailing designer bags, the company has expanded to over 300 staff in total, worldwide. Its activities now include the design and manufacture of cases for the telecommunications industry and fashion accessories for names such a Carlo, Cellini, Fiorelli and Ann Klein.
Since 1987 Scala has been the largest manufacturer and supplier of leather cases for cellular phones in Australasia. Today the cellular phone industry is Scala's core market.
Scala has a strong commitment to product development and subsequently holds many patents and registed designs. With an internal Product Development department focusing on functional design and application, Scala has set the standard in various industries throughout Australia. This innovation has kept us as market leaders in the cellular industry for over nine years and has secured us ongoing contracts from Australia's better-known fashion houses.
