The 'SBK Kunstuitleen Amsterdam' is a Dutch foundation where one can rent and acquire contemporary art. It has a large collection - more than 50.000 pieces - of contemporary, expressive art predominantly made by artists who live and work in the Netherlands.
The art is acquired directly from the artist. The SBK has connections with more than 1000 artists who regularly sell their art to the SBK foundation. The members of the SBK rent one or more pieces of art which are allowed to be kept at home for an indefinite period of time. Members always have the possibility to change their rented piece of art for another object from the SBK collection.
