Description
Sat Europa was established by Simon Docker at 17 years old (pictured right) in 1997 as a twice monthly satellite TV journal. It was in 1998 that Simon launched a retail arm though the excellent contacts made during a year of internal electronic media journalism.
In late-1999, the German speaking Simon traveled to Germany to establish contact with various large electronic distributors, and began importing high-quality satellite TV products for retail in the UK, this later lead to distributing to other industry retailers.
In 2000 Sat Europa became the established UK distributor for TechniSat, TELESTAR both Germany-based and Spice Platinum (now Private Spice). This was later followed by a large scale retail and trade e-commerce website, which now drives around 70% of the company's sales.
