Title

Sage Canyon Animal Sanctuary

Description

In 1994 Homer & Dolores founded Sage Canyon Animal Sanctuary because of their undying love for animals. The Sanctuary is located in Riverside County, California and rests on 135 acres of land. S.C.A.S. is a nonprofit, no-kill shelter who's goal is to provide orphaned animals a second chance to live a happy life full of love.

Karen and Leslie are the granddaughters of Homer and Dolores. They have recently taken on the rewarding task of managing and expanding S.C.A.S. with the vision of utilizing almost all of the 135 acres to house orphaned animals of many species. There has been 30 spacious kennels already constructed with the next major project being to develop our permanent office/reception area.

Although the sanctuary became an official nonprofit organization back in 1994, Homer and Dolores continued to care for abandoned and orphaned animals out-of-pocket. As you know maintaining the health and happiness of many dogs is quite a financial commitment. This is why the Sanctuary has started the adoption and surrender programs. These programs will help to bring in funds that will go directly towards the care of the animals. Since these programs have been implemented S. C. A. S. has been letting the community know about them by running ads with Clear Channel Communication Stations, the Penny Saver, and by personally spreading the word to the community. However, this is just the beginning.
