- About SAFER
- SAFER (Safer Alternative for Enjoyable Recreation) was founded in January 2005 with the help of the Marijuana Policy Project's (MPP) grants program. The SAFER Board of Directors initially consisted of Steve Fox, Aaron Houston and Mason Tvert, and Tvert served as the organization's initial executive director. Evan Ackerfeld was hired in January 2005 to serve as SAFER's membership coordinator.
