About the Library
The Round Lake Library was established in 1897 by WRLIS, the Woman's Round Lake Improvement Society, a not-for-profit organization comprised of men and women from the community who sponsor activities to improve the village. The group's primary goal is to support and maintain the library. The library celebrated its Centennial in 1997.
The library is chartered by the New York State Education Department Board of Regents to serve the Village of Round Lake and the Town of Malta.
About this Website
This website, along with the bookshelves at the end of the library store, was created as part of Robert Litzke's Eagle Project with the dedicated help of the Boy Scouts of Troop 6. Thanks for sponsorship of the project go out to Curtis Lumber, 84 Lumber, Bast Hatfield, and NetHeaven.
