Ron Stephenson's Art Studio and Gallery

Description

pulled from site's meta description

During my career, I have gone through several periods and styles. Like most South Texas artists, I have painted the Padre Island dunes, the Hill Country landscapes, and wildlife. My paintings are about seeing light and color. I aspire to capture lights and colors as they appear to me. I see the illumination and pulsating symphony of refraction and reflections. I envision not only the external, but also the internal lights and colors that emanate from within the spirit of the body and soul. As I create the painting, I can feel the aura that surrounds my subject and it all comes to play on the canvas as a bold, powerful composition of bright, vibrant, electrifying hues. Using mostly the primary and secondary colors, I apply with bold, brave strokes and with sincere feelings, all the strength and eagerness I can exert. I believe that my style gives my work its own powerful character. I have been painting the Native American Portraits and Southwest art for years, and I see no end to my creations of these strong, sensitive, and beautiful subjects and once again, my painting has become a very exciting and self-gratifying part of my live. The popularity of my paintings has met all my expectations.
