- I believe that it is a role of an artist, however voluntary, to reflect the world in which they live. Our sleepy sensual world is well treated with art, and it has always been central in my work to research and represent a sacred element in human nature. It is an era where science catalogs and stakes claims in the once-misty wilderness of the spirit. I am seeking the relationship between essential human dignity and imagination, and it has been an imperative that I explore this area for as long as I can recall. However similar we are as living organisms, or grouped and divided as political bodies, one miracle of humanity that I have thus far found in ample evidence is our ability to produce unique, creative fingerprints with the simple act of mental play. Fulcanelli the Alchemist once exlained, “Insight is gained through imitation of the natural world, a combination of ingenuity and skill.” My works do not deal so much with the concrete world, rather an illusory one, a mirror-place which reflects the symbolism, dreams and iconography of our ever changing collective heart.
