I am one of those people who write in their books. I can’t help it. I know I could probably sell quite a few of my books if it weren’t for the writing inside of them. I also write in my Bible(s) and am glad to find out that I am not alone. Rick Mansfield, who often comments on my Mac posts, has a wonderful post at his blog about notetaking in Bibles. I know the discussion will continue and look forward to hearing more about the reasons he uses the different colors that he does.

Sorry. I want to go to a better template but everytime I try something gets out of whack. Stats, pictures, buttons, and all that jazz. I’m just going to keep with this one a while longer.

Having spent the bulk of my Spring reading N.T. Wright’s three major works I feel like I have a lot invested in the work and writing of this great scholar and churchman. Wright has challenged me and has had a great impact on the way I read and interpret the Bible. The funny thing is, I haven’t really found anything in Wright’s method that has caused me to stray off the Inductive Bible Study farm that I grazed on in seminary. If anything, Wright has enhanced my inductive and exegetical study of the Bible. I look forward to getting back into reading Wright after I find a couple more light books to read (It’s kind of like running a few 5K’s and 10K’s before running a marathon).
