- kumusta ko ngan! i hope you don't mind this common e-mail, as i don't have yet my own computer. i miss you all and long to come back na in the warmth of our country and your hugs! i arrived safely last friday, had my sinigang already from an old couple from san fernando, but haven't had regular sleep yet. i thought i was still young to survive a jet lag. good thing there is the olympics to watch all night long. i celebrated my first mass this morning, and Frs. Ray, my host here and Norman, also visiting the US for a mission appeal, both had been my students, joined me. i was surprised i could still speak straight english. with a little help form my gesturing hands as usual. but i miss the angeles crowd where we have thousands! here there are more vacant seats. but all listened. 2 people asked me if i speak spanish. it may be something i have to re-learn! time still moves slowly for me. but i already look forward to the course where i will be staying inside the seminary for 3 months. i still don't know what God has in store for me or what he wants or expects me to do. i have just been letting him run things for me lately, which is new because i had always dictated him in the past. but i am very surprised and blessed by all these graces he has been offering me. none of it is in my plans. its never late to trust him and just go wth him. but i do miss you all. i just think 5 months will pass by fast considering they are within the holiday season. which makes it doubly sad. but i am sure you will be blessed too. atsing Sita calls it learning to swim alone for a while, and the peace and learnins will be great. enough fo the homily. hope you are all fine and God bless you all. you will not find me change after this. maybe only surer of what i have always believed in. i love you all!
