There has also been recognition within the gay and mainstream communities that significant numbers of males are also survivors of sexual abuse. Gay and bisexual survivors need a 'gay friendly' network in which they can access information and resources related to their sexuality and abuse within a supportive framework.
Rainbow Network provides a service which responds first and foremost to the needs and concerns of past and present survivors of sexual abuse, addressing the specific needs of gay and bisexual men.
