Radio Banadir Broadcasting (RBB) first appeared on the stage in the Mogadishu Area on Feb 21, 2000, as a vehicle to extend the educational reach of media into the country. As one of the conducing stations in public broadcasting, RBB is a leader in the effort to service an ever-increasing audience with some of the most powerful and perceptive programming available.
Being a multi-media organization that leverages its platforms of Public Radio 19FM and 108 short waves. The RBB Education Network and SE&RD (Somalia Education and Resources Development) continue to be a community inspiration and vital source for quality programming and thought-provoking information.
Radio produces and acquires programs that inspire, inform and entertain the people of Somalia. RBB broadcasts programs from other distributors, and also produces its own unique programs, series and specials. RBB is consistently the most-listened public radio station in the nation in prime time, reaching more than five million listeners each month.
