Advanced Power enhances RACKWISE DCM’s capabilities by providing circuit-based modeling and redundancy and resiliency analysis. Full representation of the power system from Utility and Generator feeds to UPS, PDUs, associated circuits, and device connectivity is provided. Review device power redundancy levels, simulate failure of major power infrastructure components, and determine if a cascading power failure will occur and its potential impact.
Trend & Historical Reporting enhances RACKWISE DCM’s standard reporting by providing trend analysis over a period of time, including rich graphical displays. Select individual racks, PDUs, or create custom groupings by date range and granularity i.e. days, weeks, or months. Choose report type and range from Resource vs. Consumption to Port Availability. Trend and Historical reports are critical in planning and budgeting.
The Rackwise Green Report charts your data using The Green Grid’s Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and Data Center Efficiency (DCiE) metrics to determine how green your data center is. The report further breaks down top resource consumers by type, servers, network, storage equipment, or other. The Green Report is an excellent tool for displaying the positive effects of a “green” project, as well as identifying how “green” your data center is.
The Cost/Savings Analysis provides the critical information necessary to determine the financial impact of proposed data center changes. Data center organizations can quickly identify equipment to decommission, select equipment to commission, and then build a comprehensive summary of savings. The net change in power, heat, space, and weight are displayed along with the associated monetary value of those changes showing a break-even analysis and projected savings.
Rackwise DCM is bounded by a vendor-neutral integration layer, web services API. This provides unhindered ability for RACKWISE DCM to synchronize and participate with other IT or facility management systems, including change management, virtual systems management, proprietary systems and automation.
