Description
Raccoon Rescue is a grassroots humane program. We endeavor to rescue and relocate wildlife displaced by construction and related development. Since beginning rehabilitation efforts in 1997, our group has handled hundreds of calls on displaced, injured, and orphaned wildlife. We have provided relief for the animals and given information to concerned people.
Before we began our project, over 1,200 wild animals, in addition to some domestic animals, were routinely destroyed at Jacksonville Animal Care and Control Center and the Humane Society, not necessarily in a humane fashion.
