Well if you'd like to know more about our corner of cyberspace, then read on. This site was launched on the 7th April 1999 - three days after my 16th, and five days after I first came out to my then-best-friend. In the beginning, it was called Graham: Speaking Out, or GSO, and it was just a wee site hosted on Tripod where I had my chance to tell the world about me, my life, and my experiences of being a gay teen. QA still shares that aim, but instead of one gay teen speaking out, I'd like QA to provide a platform whereby many more gay youth can say what they want to say.
I guess that kind of explains why the site you see today is a unique combination of a personal site, and a growing global gay youth community. Unconventional perhaps, but I think all of the content online here still has it's place.
If GSO and QA have one shared philosophy, then it's probably based on the fact that I don't believe in anything the system forces you to believe in, but I do believe we all have the right to feel good about ourselves, and that you should never let anyone else put you down. Everyone has the right to an opinion, but no-one has the right to force their opinion. Which ties in with the aim of speaking out.
