IWA wants to see if fairness and trust on the Web is an important enough of an issue to start a pledge. As a professional association of individuals, IWA believes accountability begins and ends with an individual, and that our laws provide only a basis for "legal ethics". These are the laws which keeps us honest because we feel the threat of being sued, fined or even jailed.
In response to the legal initiatives currently taking place on topics such as copyrights, spamming, and privacy, IWA thought it would come up with a pledge to see if there are people who care enough to take personal responsibility before legal responsibility...
