The community of women pyrotechnicians, firefighters and fire performers is a small yet growing number and as a part of this group, the founders of PyroChix.com sought to create clothing and gear that was more suitable, comfortable and stylish than what existed in the marketplace. PyroChix.com, not only creates merchandise, but also seeks to connect women within the community, offering them a place to meet, network, associate and aide each other in their professions.

We're setting out to cater to you female pyrotechnicians, special effects technicians, fire performers, fire fighters, and pyro aficionados out there.

- Working pyro in Los Angeles in the middle of summer in the 100+ degree sun can be hell. I started looking for clothes I can wear while loading pyro and found that there is nearly nothing out there, especially for women. Men’s t-shirts were the only options available, and most of the time they had dorky pictures and messages on the front. I wanted something cute, hip, and comfortable to wear, while staying cool. I decided that the only way I was going to get that was if I make it myself, and PyroChix Gear was born.
